Golang Job Details

APO Pharma Immun GmbH, founded on February 1, 2021, is the company behind the national phenomenon “Immunkarte”.

With over 10,000 partner pharmacies (more than every 2nd one) across Germany, over 5,000,000 Immunkarten sold and an upcoming Europe expansion, the one-year-old company has become one of the fastest growing and best known in the pharmacy market.

However, the company is not only about plastic cards. Powering the Immunkarte®, we operate one of the largest digital platforms in the pharmacy market.

The team behind it has grown to 25 people: Speed and adaptability are our success factors, along with close collaboration with pharmacies. We are now looking to hire for key roles in new and upcoming business fields that leverage our market power to innovate the way pharmacies operate in the future.

Tasks

You will drive the backend implementation of new features for our pharmacy platform.

In terms of technologies, our backend services are written in Golang and TypeScript (NestJS); the frontend is React / React Native; and we primarily utilize PostgreSQL databases. It all runs in a cloud infrastructure that leverages Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.

You don’t need to be familiar with all of these technologies, however, be willing to learn them over the course of time.

You will:
  • Design and build new features, new services, and infrastructure
  • Perform code reviews for others, and have your code reviewed by your peers
  • Learn new technologies
Requirements

You should ideally have:
  • A keen interest in writing resilient software that scales
  • Solid experience with Golang OR solid experience with TypeScript (we are using the NestJS framework)
  • Working knowledge of SQL and/or relational database concepts
Not essential, but it would be great if you also have the following:

  • Experience with Kubernetes deployments (Helm)
  • Aptitude with CI and CD pipelines (Github preferred)
  • Exposure to Unix systems
  • Knowledge of Javascript, TypeScript, and a front-end framework (React)
We are looking for reliable, hard-working people who are interested in creating usable applications that are new to the pharmaceutical sector. You should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and building new features while keeping the users’ perspective in mind. We encourage you to listen to feedback from the team and customers and to bring your own suggestions to the table.

Benefits

Be a part of transforming the digital possibilities and workflows for pharmacies. Work in a young company with a large, invested user base. Join an ambitious, performance-driven, and interdisciplinary team with the goal of moving the pharmacy market forward.

We give you autonomy, flexibility, and a high level of responsibility. If you enjoy solving hard challenges and learning new things, we are looking forward to meeting you. Together, we will continuously tailor the role to your strengths and goals.
